Meet Dr Garrie Rao (Principal Dentist)
For Dr Garrie, the most fulfilling part of being a dentist is getting to know a person, having open and honest discussions about their circumstances and together helping them achieve a healthy mouth and body. He enjoys sharing knowledge on simple home remedies and alternate natural ways to heal the mouth and body.
The Inspiration for Becoming a Dentist
My passion is to help people get over their fears, motivate them to improve themselves and avoid pain. I love the attention to detail and focus that dentistry requires.
Education and Professional Development
In 2005, Dr Garrie graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons). To stay abreast of the latest in dentistry, he has taken thousands of hours of courses on various topics that include the following:
- Minimal intervention dentistry
- Alternate medicine
- Implants
- Laser
- Orthodontics
- Smile improvement (including composite and ceramic veneers and interesting and cost- effective ways to replace missing teeth)
Outside the Practice
Dr. Garrie has a diverse array of hobbies and interests. He loves to ride motorcycles (he has two Indians) and watch science fiction movies. In particular, he’s a huge “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” fan. To stay active, he loves to play tennis and basketball. He’s also an avid and spontaneous traveller and has visited most of Asia, Europe, the US, Australia, Middle East, Africa and New Zealand. “I still want to explore Russia and Scandinavia.”
